Hello everyone. This is the first vlog coming through our BGAN unit kindly loaned to us by Mailasail for the duration of the trip.
This works off the Inmarsat satellites whereas the sat phone works off the Iridium satellites. We have to point the BGAN at the sky and it beeps once it’s found a satellite . Bgan should be a lot faster than the sat phone ...let’s see
The director of electronics tells me it’s now working , as you see he is looking pretty proud.
