It’s a wrap! Purple Mist is safely out the water and she has had a bit of “spa” treatment. Ian Dyall changed the prop anode and polished the waterline whilst I sanded and repainted my rudders. After all she needs to look her best and I’m hoping a top up will keep the algae at bay. I had 1/2 a time left so decided to paint the keel as well. It’s not perfect but let’s face it it’s pink and looks fab. The only difficulty was working in 25kts of wind literally everything will blow away or blow over. As you pour the paint it wants to blow out of the tray and as you climb a ladder the wind wants to rip the paint tray from your hand. So it was pretty messy! We took a well earned break and I got some very strange looks from the fellow diners as I was covered in bright pink paint. Safe to say the shorts and old polo top are not coming home.
Purple mist now has 82days on her own , what will I do without her ?
