We walked over from Mount Hartman Bay to Prickly Bay Marina to play Mexican Train with some other cruisers.  The rules were slightly different to those we were used to and it wasn’t until I had accumulated a very high score (high is bad in Mexican Train) that I worked out how the tactics needed to change under these rules.  I was a firm last but it was great fun though.

By the end of the game we were sitting in the hot sun and after the walk back we were frazzled.  As soon as we could we jumped off the back of the boat to cool off.

Whilst Lin was showering the water pump stopped pumping.  This will teach me to joke about freshwater pumps being my specialist subject.  Lin was still soaped up and was not keen to mess up a towel drying off.  Similarly, neither was I keen to use the towel to dry off saltwater (towels stay damp forever on a boat once seawater gets on them).

I marched off quickly, got the tools out and tried to revive the pump to no avail.  In the end, about 40 minutes later, I had taken the pump off and fitted a spare.  Lin was shivering nicely by now.  Oh, how we laughed.

We both jumped back in the sea and started again and managed to have nice refreshing showers afterwards.  So not really a drama at all.
