On Friday I ran the new wiring to the fridge which
improved some of the readings in the electrical tests but did
nothing to improve the performance of the fridge. Another email
to Isotherm Italy for advice although I don't expect a response until
Tuesday. The guy at Isotherm, my mate Gianluca, has a tremendous
reputation but because of the economic situation he now has to work on
other things as well and is only available to handle customer problems on
Tuesdays and Fridays. Unfortunately it is difficult to limit the
faults to those days.
Lin took the car off to Lidl and Eurospar and
bought as many of the non-perishables and bulky items as she could. She
then returned and did her normal trick of converting the boat into a
'Tardis'. The two forward cabins are our 'sheds' nowadays but even so I
don't know how she manages to hide most of it.
On Saturday we took full opportunity of the last
day with the hire car. I went off for boat bits in other parts
of Lanzarote and then we drove off to a village on the coast
called 'El Golfo' for lunch. We came back and refitted our Bimini and
Sprayhood which had been taken away for new zips and also new windows on
the Sprayhood. The Bimini is fine but one of the two new zips on the
Sprayhood broke after just one use so that will go back on Monday.
On Sunday we said goodbye to the hire car, did some
laundry and spent part of the afternoon by the marina pool.
Here is a photograph taken of Mon, Nev, Lin
and I at the restaurant where we had our 'last supper' on Wednesday night.
Forgive the quality - I need Andrea's help as I am useless with night
settings on the camera:-
