The wind is lighter now so progress is a little slower.  Sleeping during the day yesterday was poor but last night was good for both of us.  At the moment we have clear skies and with lighter wind it not only feels warmer but it is getting a little warmer - during the day anyway.  Night time is still cold.

No more issues at present with the seawater getting in so we thing it was the fridge cooling system under strain.

All the pilot book advise against entering the bay in Mindelo at night because of the various rusting abandoned hulks which are unlit at night.  Apparently in the Cape Verdes, due to lack of funds for maintenance, even the nav lights are unlit!  We definitely can't get there by end of daylight tomorrow so will pace ourselves and aim for sometime in daylight Thursday.  There is a change in wave direction due today and tomorrow which will bring the sea to the beam.  Not great for comfort but not dangerous.

A pic taken a couple of days showing nice sailing conditions.  The red containers near the bow are spare diesel 'cans':-
