Over the next few days the new batteries were installed and we put various interior panels back in place, washed down the boat and polished the coachroof and cockpit with the electric polisher.  This hadn't been done for years.  We put more foam insulation around the fridge, repaired the shower drain pump and holding tank pump connections and serviced the aft heads pump, replacing a lot of the components.

We had been getting powder deposits from the interior trims of all the hatches.  The trims were removed and the powder was from electrolysis where stainlees steel screws contact the aluminium frames.  These were all taken out, sanded and re-bedded with an insulating compound.

Demir engineers changed a metal cooling water inlet pipe on the generator for a rubber one I had bought to overcome a persistent leak.

Whoever said that long term cruising on a sailing yacht was 'boat maintenance in exotic climes' was not wrong.

Our wedding anniversary on 22 May consisted of a nice lunch in the Marina Restaurant and a Sunday Roast on board in the evening.  In between Bob watched the Grand Prix and Lin had a well deserved snooze.
