Some boats left today creating some space so we
moved again in the anchorage bringing us closer to the head of the
bay with a shorter and dryer dinghy ride to get anywhere. We 'parked'
off L'Auberge restaurant which has a reputation for serving good
lobster stored in their own tanks. The lobster season ends on 30
April so we were both quite keen to have some before it was too
late.
The afternoon on Wednesday was characterised by
more torrential rain se we didn't leave the boat during the day.
You can barely see the headland across the
bay:-
Now you can't:-
The building on the shore is
L'Auberge restaurant where we hope to go to this evening if the rain
stops:-
A similar view the next day when the sun came
out:-
The rain did stop in the evening and after bailing
the water out of the dinghy we went ashore and had a very good dinner. We
both had tender lobster thermidor. Lobster is so expensive in the UK we
wonder what the fuss is about but when it is more reasonably priced - and fresh
- it's so nice.
