After a morning doing some internet admin we took the boat back to Prickly Bay and anchored within rowing distance of the Budget Marine chandlery.  Whilst there I ordered 66 metres of anchor chain.  We would like to carry more but when we once did the weight in the bow was so great that the boat pitched badly when sailing.  Boats 'hobby horse' when there is a lot of weight in the bow and stern which is uncomfortable and slows the boat down dramatically.

Our chain is 12 years old and has been re-galvanised once.  It's now very rusty again and each time you galvanise the metal loses 10-15% of it's strength so it was time to bite the bullet and replace it.  The guys in the chandlery then carried the new outboard to the dinghy.  I went to the nearby bar/restaurant, 'De Big Fish', and read the manual over a coffee before tootling back to the boat with the new outboard running at running-in revs ie, very slowly.

On Tuesday we both went to De Big Fish and Lin used their wifi whilst I found a bus to take me to an ATM and a petrol station to get some 2-stroke engine oil (the chandlery only had large containers of the stuff).  These south coast bays are lovely but they are remote from things like cash machines.

On Wednesday we went back to Secret Harbour which is very sheltered and peaceful.
