We took a stroll around the city on Saturday as the rigging people are not available before Monday.  The area immediately beside the marina is a building site where road improvements are taking place.  Having read the web diary of friends who were here on a boat a couple of years before us it is clear it was a building site then as well.  No doubt funds have dried up as there are few signs of activity.

The town itself is very pleasant with several pedestrianised streets and the usual squares and statues:-

We are accustomed to seeing 'traveller's palm's in the Caribbean but it seemed unusual in a city outside of the tropics.  This is a rather poor one though:-

There were several musicians, one particularly impressive Spanish Guitarist and another who played the trumpet really well.
