Last couple of days a mixture of
motoring and sailing. Wind generally favourable when it blows. Always the daily
thunderstorms but now out in the open so usually easy to avoid. Sam settling in
well now that the going is easier, doing some odd jobs and clean up to prepare
for the charter for the Neptune Race. Freezer
construction continues - fibreglassing it like a madman on the cabin top in the
shade of the main. So warm that only about 3-5 min work time before gelling.
Must have this at least finished inside so can re-install and hide, and possibly
use as ice box, for Neptune race week.
Crossed the Line
right on dawn, so Sam now officially a Shellback slept through his transition. Will
avoid any ceromonial recognition for
him this time as we'll do that in full during next month's Equator Race,
although I did dig out the Rum and
Coke (for breakfast) as per
tradition.
