Surf victims
arrived late from Mataram, Lombok. Andy, Fraser (Andy's hot-shot surfer son),
Troy and Paul (Wiley).
Andy was
only guest I was previously acquainted with, but of course, Sydney having a
population of about 16 resulted in me knowing another of the guests and having
too many common friends and interests with the lot! Wiley lives on a boat in
Pittwater - my "home" when home!
Steve, local
Pommie ex-pat from Gili, will join us as a local guide, with another mate of
his. Steve's a former yacht captain and local surfer.
First night
dinner at The Beach House, next day spent at Gili waiting for my Ship's Papers
to return from Bali. Small surf on reef at
south end of Gili, so a few of them got wet
immediately.
Second night
dinner at Ko-ko-mo Restaurant - Fine Dining on the water's edge. Turned into
quite a debauched night with Wiley skinny dipping (actually trying to drown
himself after being rejected by a couple of tourist girls) right off the
restaurant. Too many alcohols and too many hours as I tried to keep up with them
until 5:30am as I had the keys to the Duck!
So over-hung
and off we go. Plan to check Desert Pt on way ...
