Slow going
still with no wind. A tease of wind after sunrise yesterday morning had all the
sails up and motors off - but only lasted half an hour. Fortunately we had a 3kn
current boost most of the day, so spent the time measuring all the remaining
fuel (we have 8 tanks of mostly unknown sizes) by pumping from each tank into
jerry cans then emptying into another tank. Then we did emperical consumption
rate measurements - which we're much worse news than when we'd previously done
this ear;ly last year. Good news is we do have enough fuel to motor the rest of
the way, bad news is not if we motor too quickly!
Need wind
- and fish.
Making water
now after a pipe fitting blowout decided to flush our bilges with our
remaining fresh water..
Believe I aged
again yesterday, I've done that nearly 50 times now. This was the first time not
in the presence of westerners - and without
beer.
