After 6 mths
moored at Gili Trawangan, it's time to leave Indo and make our way up to Hong
Kong for the Vietnam race. This race is reknowned for big winds and a fast
ride downhill for 650nm which is perfectly suited for El Oro, but was postponed
last year due to a Typhoon on the race course, so hoping for slightly less wind
this time!
Unfortunately
my Myanmar crew couldn't get to Indo, between Indonesia and Burma the confused
Beaurocracies ended up making this impossible, so picking them all up in
Singapore.
Meanwhile
picked up a few strays in Bali and Gili for the delivery. Klara a Czech dive
instructor working at Gili for the season, and my nephew Asher joins again with
a mate of his Kale, both live in Bali.
A dream run
with Clearance formalities once again from Medana Bay Marina, Lombok. Ace and
Wulan are to be commended for their service and buffer between the yachties and
Indo officialdom.
So a busy last
day of passage-preparation-stuff at Medana Bay to cast off on time at 1900 on
5/9.
