Great sail today from Concarneau. We met a very kind lady called Francoise in Concarneau. She runs a company called KYSS and they deliver fresh baguettes and croissants to the visiting yachts in the mormings. So Heather was woken with a warm pain au chocolat and a cup of tea. Must make sure she doesn't think this will become a regular thing!

Today we had the asymmetric spinnaker up for a while ( see Heather's facebook picture). Also sailed with poled out headsail and beat an American boat that was about 60 ft long.
Only took us 4 hours to do 30+ miles.

Lorient is so named as it was the base for France's India Company, so was originally called L'Orient. It was the site of many German U boat pens in WW2.

We have holed up in a marina on the opposite side of the river where it is less industrial called Locmiquelic.
They are very friendly and even let us have free bikes to ride around the village.

We came across a lovely sleepy old cat by the Capitanerie.

Weather permitting we are off to the Loire tomorrow ( when is this summer going to start?)
