Title: Island of the Sun, The Shamen, Reed raft.

The Island of the Sun is spectacular. Amazing views across the lake to the island of the moon.

We met a Shamen who conducted a ceremony to wish us all health and luck, burned some coca leaves and blessed us individually witha form of holy water. Very moving.

We then descended to the water and went for a sail on a traditional raft made of reeds, with a captain who had helped Thor Heyedall make a raft to cross the Pacific some years back.

We are now back in Lima ( fri 22 Feb) after a short flight this morning and will be setting off for the Galapagos in 2 days time. Busy, Busy!!
