The offshore days are approaching, so I'm been working on a better relationship with my ic-m801e HF radio (its been a bit fractious to date). After much fiddling, things seem to be working quite well, at least on the data side (voice hasn't been doing so well [no friends!?]). This email is to make sure that I can update the blog with text and photos via the SSB radio (although I'll most often be doing it via the Iridium Satellite box). If the photo attachment is visible, I was sitting in 'The Ship' (100 meters from the boat), watching Formula 1 on TV, with the sound (the bar has music on, not the commentary), and the timing screen on the tablet.
