Now west of Greenwich. The trip to here at Torrevieja Marina, should have been a 9 hour easy cruise, but that wouldn't be cruising. This time the Port engine gave us grief. Some kind of a fuel flow issue, which despite 4 hours of fiddling around, changing filters
and systems bleeding, I couldn't fix. We did the last 5 hours on single engine. At the Marina i primed the fuel reservoir by hand, which allowed the engine to start and give us enough time to manoeuvre into our slot. Arriving on Friday arvo, means nothing
happening until Monday, so we await diagnosis then. No worries if it turns out to be an issue like a failed fuel pump requiring delivery of spares, we have loads of time. 260Nm to cover in 18 days means we can sit here for a week if necessary, and still cruise
down to Gib, without hurrying.
Today we went on a Spanish (French built), S-61 Delfin class submarine. On my absolute insistence, we and VictoryCat, were stood at the entrance gate, for it's opening at 09:00. Thus we had a full hour alone on the sub before anyone else showed - perfect. Afterwards I watched 'Crimson tide' and then 'Hunt for Red October' back to back. A most excellent day :-)
