"Dodgy Captain, to Dodgy Flotilla leader over", "Dodgy Leader: Come in stern to and try not to hit to many things, over", "Dodgy Captain: Roger that, over, out" ! What a laugh. A dozen inexperienced skippers, and a Flotilla leader just out of high school. We had them side on, blown off, bashing the bow, bashing the stern, crossed anchors, dragging anchors, fair bit of praying!
To be fair, the weather was weathering. Windy woo, and choppy chop. Stern too in a choppy small harbor, with 20-25 knots on the nose, is a little tricky. Chance and I went and took over from the flotilla leader, to get one boat off, as she was struggling and didn't know how to use a stern spring, to get a boat pressed to the wall, off that wall.
Intended to hire a car today, but hung around the boat instead, to watch the mayhem and protect our interests. We did go out for a couple of hours in the arvo, to a sink hole cave called Mellasani. Small trip around the cave lake in a row boat. Nice visuals. Good trip. Walked back, as it was only 40 mins away.
