On Passage to Graciosa,
12th October 2005
We're about sixty miles out
of Madeira, surrounded by sea. Chris is having a well earned snooze, and it's my
watch. Doing the usual: fighting the hydrovane, watching out for ships,
and watching the dawn come in. No sign of wakie wakies from the girls
yet. Position: 31.50' N and 16.15' W. Speed
5-6knots. Depth ?? probably between two and three kilometres!, and it
keeps giving the depth sounder hiccoughs, as it keeps saying 'shallow
alarm'.
