There we were bowling along
quite happy and getting quite excited about the prospect of doing a really
respectable passage and then BANG no wind and the little we have had is right on
the nose. It's so frustrating even more so when we listen to the shipping
forecast and it's reporting gales all along the Channel. O. K. just lie back and
enjoy the sunshine and watch the fishes play I can hear you all say but it's
blooming raining as well as being on the chilly side! The big question now is
will we run out of diesel before the wind comes back ? What is equally
frustrating is the fact that the yachts we are in radio contact with are all
claiming to have some breeze or are they just trying to wind us up? Perhaps we
shouldn't have rubbed in the fish and delicious meals we are having. However we
will get there eventually so we'll just keep plugging
away.
