Piriac

We’ve just spent 3 nights in Port Haliguen with Robert et al. Had several really nice meals out and saw lots of Dimity, Buck and Willow.

We had a lovely sail across the bay earlier this week but, because the new mainsail has to be run in by not going out in more than 15 knots of wind, we could only use the genoa and staysail. With 25 knots of beam wind all was well and the boat was surprisingly well balanced even without the main up. Today however the weather obliged and we now can use them all. Weather has been windy, very hot and cloudless throughout the last week but is due to change at the weekend.
Unusually we have been given an alongside berth, which was a mixed blessing in central Lorient because our rafted neighbours came and went until 2am each night, and then disappeared during the day. C thinks we’re unlikely to be rafted up here because they’ll block the fairway.
