Fantastic 'Taiwan' restaurant 50 yards from our boat so Dominica carried on being a gem. Next time we must go to the huge market.
Left early on Saturday to come to Martinique. The wind definitely knows where we are going. Did 7 knots close hauled across the open sea [ very lumpy ] but then had to motor directly into it coming down the island. We've come back to 'Le Ponton' where we spent New Year but May is much hotter and less rainy. Inexplicably it also seems to be low season. Great. We are enjoying the space with just 2 of us but realise how unfit we are and miss the crew; not just for pulling on ropes but for the 'daily poem' and Marie Rose sauce.
Total contrast to Dominica - French chic with boutiques and restaurants and bars serving kir. Keith is trying to divert me from the baby clothes shops. Have discovered a live local langouste for supper so he is happy. .
