The charts round here used to say ' here be
monsters'. Now they say comforting things like 'reef..depth unknown' or '
underwater volcano..last erupted 1995 '. Definitely worth avoiding.
Yesterday's intermittent rain became persistent. A
bit soul sapping but at least it is still wam. The wind [20 knots] then
suddenly changed from S.E to N.E and had us heading for New Zealand before we
sorted ourselves out.
Tonight the sea is calm, the wind has dropped to 12
knots and there is a full moon. Night sailing as it should be.

entered Fiji waters, ETA Suva probably means
midnight tomorrow, so we'll have to make a night arrival. C not
v/pleased.
