Fuengirola, Friday 2nd September, 2017

Quite pleasant overnight trip, not many fishing boats and quiet seas, arrived 10:30.
Main still jamming but less so and even genoa sheet got stuck ?why.
Need to free up sheet and fiddle with the topping lift probably.

This is a big place full of brits, germans and many others; C thinks it’s the Costa del Crime with ageing gangsters molls galore.
Strangely no noise in the marina despite lots of discos ashore. Good Chinese and Indian.
Fiddled with sails and found SS electric winch broken, not an insoluble problem but tiresome,
heightened the boom with doubtful effect.

Garrucha was my favourite marina so far in southern Spain. Lots of cafes and restaurants and main street right beside the marina. Nearly all Spanish tourists. Very good for people with Achilles tendonitis. Fish restaurant with fantastic display. We had the local speciality gambas rojas, langoustines and langouste, freshly grilled. K thought a bit underdone but delicious. Next day in cheap formica place I was offered two different kinds of fish. John Dory steak was best I have had for ages. Poured with rain for 26 hours solid. Watched Line of Duty on the ipad.
