Not being very ambitious, we nipped along the coast to Benodet and then a couple of kilometres up-river where we anchored overnight. Very peaceful and, having stayed there before so we knew exactly where to stop, pain-free and uneventful. Next day we returned to St. Marine (across the river from Benodet) where we ate well and enjoyed the view for two nights. Today had a pleasant 30 mile trip to Lorient in our old friend the marina at Port Louis. Clare has booked tonight in a very good unpretentious restaurant that justifiably boasts authentic English fish & chips (which we’ll probably do without tonight). Tomorrow we have another 30 miles to Vannes if the weather holds.
