Yes, here we in our usual place at the back of the
fleet in very light winds (I think its all the provisioning that Susan has
hidden aboard). We even tried the APC, but to little avail due to the wind
direction - not even it being mostly orange mostly any difference.
Anyway, we had a good view of the other boats
(we did cross the line in the middle of the fleet) as they made their
way down the Sir Francis Drake Channel and off we went for the trip to St.
Georges, Bermuda.
After clearing Jost van Dyke we were greeted by
dolphins - a fantastic way to say goodbye to the BVI's We put a line
out, got a fish, but it was too big for the line so we lost another lure! The
sunset was, however, wonderful. Followed by the crescent moon and millions of
stars, a trully great experience.
This morning we hailed Kalimba who took some
photo's of Andromeda with all her sails up - looking forward to seeing
them.
Having a great but slow sail on a sparkling
sea.....only 1 sail on the horizon now.
More in due course......
