our way out of the harbour in the dark dodging all the big container ships
heading for the port (it is Monday morning). We had a lovely breeze to
start with and managed to sail for 3 hours before the genoa started
flogging and we went back to motoring. All the new bits and pieces worked
well and we had a leisurely trip to Santa Maria to be greeted
enthusiastically by Cheila from the marina office. Andromeda has now been
washed down and tidied up, Andrew has had a shower and Susan is off for
one now then it will be time to try out the newly furbished Club Naval for
dinner. We should then have time to enjoy a balmy evening watching a
different world go by.
We are watching the weather and will decide when to carry on our way back
to Porto Santo and Madeira - sometime in the next couple of days.
