Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to everyone who came down on Satruday to see us off - it was a fantastic day and it was wonderful to see so many people wishing us well. Lots of thanks are due and we will get back to you all - it was fantastic getting so many hoots and horns and cheers as we left the marina and passed out towards Studland Bay.

We had acouple of bumpy hights just to chill out and recover from the last few weeks of hectic activity and rushing between Poole and Reading, almost on a daily basis it seemed. Having two dental appointments - filling and extraction - didn't help, nor did mix ups over pensions etc. The bank staff in Reading now know us by first name it seems.

We had a very bumpy ride to Weymouth and although the track takes us over dry land we can assure it was anything but dry or straight. Plans remain fluid but we aim to go round Portland Bill tomorrow and head for Torquay or Brixham - we need to get somewhere for the night as we are too big to go inot the small ports in Lymme Bay.

We will get round to getting some photos of the event on the blog, but in the meantime many thanks to all who have helped us over the past 6 months getting things fixed, educating us in the arcane arts of the rigger, to getting up the mast safely - its still pretty high - and getting the radar and AIS installed. We still have a few leaks gremlins to sort out and 5 litres of oil in the bilges isn't helpful. However Andromeda looked after us very well in the F6/7 but we don't plan  on sailing in too many of these winds and seas.

More in due course,
Andrew & Susan
