After a much calmer night we said goodbye to buoy 39 in the Saintes and headed up the west coast of Guadaloupe to Deshaies.  A fairly pleasant journey though with moments of excitement when the wind gusted 38 knots, but that was only for a few seconds.  The 32.8 mile trip took 5 1/2 hours though it was a bit unnerving to see so many boats heading south...do they know something we don't? We are now anchored in the bay enjoying much less rolly conditions though there is still the wind whistling down the hillsides.
