Having come through the straits of Gibraltar and across the southern coast of Portugal Moy Toad anchored in a bay near Sagres and Martinhal for the night to avoid going round Cape St Vincent overnight in a westerly which would have been quite uncomfortable as very open to the Atlantic and swell.

This was the first night the crew had taken off since leaving Palma 5 days ago.

So all good except when they woke on the morning of 21st to set off they couldn’t start the engine!!

It took most of the day with text messages and phone calls to David Llewelyn the engineer from Cornwall who had fitted the engine to sort. ? An electronics glitch and ?air in the system. Filters were changed too. One very concerned Mr F this end who just couldn’t do anything!!

eventually sorted ?? Mid afternoon the engine started and they headed off at around 4.00pm in the afternoon to round Cape St Vincent and to head north up the Portuguese coast.
