We left Lavanzo in sunshine , still a swell but apart from me feeling pretty lousy we were excited to be heading for our next adventure. Sails up - the main and all worked ( in mast reefing so all quite technical and hadn't been used for several months) but all of a sudden the skies darkened the wind got up and a squall came in. Very lumpy sea and quite menacing not quite what I/we had envisaged fro the next part of our Mediterranean adventure and I wasn't feeling at my best with no sleep and a cold. After a while I did retreat down below and slept for several hours and apparently Mr F had a good sail and felt happy to be back on board.

When I woke we were almost round Cape St Vito 38:11.98N 12:46.42E and heading for one of our favourite anchorages from previously Scopello where we had hoped to spend the night. We anchored there and had a rather late lunch of tomato and mozzarella salad but realised that it was not going to be a good anchorage for the night so headed off to the marina at Castellamare de Golfo. A place we had been to previously
