> The bay at Monterosso still had swell so not altogether a particularly good nights sleep but always difficult when anchoring or on a buoy but another lovely day weather wise and the plan was to walk from Monterosso to Vernazza and get the train back.

> So we all got in the dinghy and went to a little harbour where hopefully we could leave it safely for the day. After some negotiation and €10 that was done.

> We then walked into town and decided we’d go at our own pace and meet in Verazza. So off D and I went and found the path at the far end of the bay and paid our walking money €7.50 each and off we went. Steep climb up steps through vineyards once at the top the path flattened out but still up and down . Plenty of people of all ages doing the same walk in both directions. Great views, buskers at the start and end
> and an hour and 50 later we were back in the harbour at Vernazza. We treated ourselves to an ice cream and then went and sat with our feet in the water in the waiting for Steph and Andy.
>
> This was their third attempt at the walk so they were very pleased they made it and I have a lot of respect for elder daughter and husband who walked all 5 villages in a day when she was 6 months pregnant.
