We left Sinesat first light this morning (quite misty) along with quite a few other yachts as shown on the screen all heading south to Lagos before the strong southerly winds and thunderstorms reach there on Tuesday.

We have had to motor again all day but have had the main and stay sail up which have helped.

We all went round Cape Vincent about the same time but we had already decided if we could anchor in a small harbour about 3 miles beyond there we would try and go to Lagos in the morning.

Happily this worked -,all the others carried on - and they would have had at least a couple more hours to do.

So we are at
37:00.8N
8:55.61W

Close to the beach at Martinhal (we stayed at the hotel here a couple of years ago). David and I have had a swim, all had well deserved G and T's and Joy has finally cooked her delicious Tuna Pasta for us all and a bottle of red wine. We shall sleep well tonight. After quite a bumpy ride today this does seem quite a calm anchorage -,hopefully it will stay like that through the night
