> Having spent an extra night in Saint Florent waiting for the wind to abate as were quite a few other yachts we all left the marina around lunchtime heading in various directions.
>
> We’d had several relaxing days in the town which just had a lovely feel about it. It was warm and sunny just a tad breezy and an autumnal feel about it - plane trees shedding their browning leaves 🍁 we both caught up with several jobs and relaxed

> We motor sailed up the coast slightly gusty and intended to go to an anchorage further north but as we saw another yacht here that didn’t seem to be rolling too much we decided to come in here for the night.

> Travelling up the cape so far a few beaches, very small colourful towns clinging to the green hillsides and the coastal cape road visible as it winds its way. The anchorage was quiet overnight but the road came down the hill into this bay and out up the hill the other side and you could hear buses and cars hooting in the hairpin bends.

> On arrival after the usual cup of tea ( YORKSHIRE) I swam to the beach( grey pebbles) and back andDavid checked the anchor. Several G and Ts later and supper we had the most amazing sunset - firey sky . Clear night beautiful stars and moon.
>
> Pretty good nights sleep only a slight roll and we’ve just had breakfast and will be raining the anchor shortly to head north round the cape and hopefully across to Isola Capraia to find tonight’s anchorage or marina.
