First thing this morning we walked up into the town for breakfast and a look round the town. Sciacca is a working fishing port and also the main centre for ceramic production in southern Sicily as shown by pictures below. The old town is lovely to wander around not that we spent that much time but as the guide book says not many tourists - a welcome change. Like many of the old towns we’ve visited and sailed past in Sicily the new building on the edge is cheek by jowl and certainly not very attractive.

Returning to the boat around 10.30 having bought some fish for supper as we hoped to spend our last night at sea at anchor we then prepared the ship for sea.
