2 of us have come on the first of our 3hr night watches. (4 hrs during the day). The sun has just gone down and the moon is there and so far a clear evening so looking forward to the stars.
We have had to motor all day - on average slightly more than 5 knots. No wind and at times the sea glassy with a slight swell. This morning quite cloudy but this afternoon and evening beautiful and at one point the sea became a beautiful clear darkish blue. We have seen the odd fishing boat, couple of larger ferries in the distance, one cargo boat which overtook us and a catamaran on a parallel course but faster.

We saw Dolphins not long after we left this morning and then again at 4 pm when they just kept coming. One in particular must have stayed in our bow wave for at least an hour repeatedly joined by others. The most amazing sight - at times the boat surrounded. A real privilege.

12 hours after we left Caruna our position

Tomorrow another day in The Bay of Biscay . Will their be wind?
