This time last year we decided to change our boat and we sold Mor Toad to a lovely couple who have taken her to Scotland and intend to sail her around the world in the next few years. We bought an Oyster 53 in Palma this time last year and have had a lot of work done on her over the summer 2016 and then spent September and October sailing her around Majorcan and across to Menorca and around that island. She is called Moy Toad ( Moy being Celtic for 'more or another' - hence another Toad!) Family and friends joined us for various periods over that two months and gave us the thumbs up to the bigger more comfortable boat though various people including ourselves were sad to see Mor Toad go - she did us proud across the Atlantic and around the Caribbean but things move on and although we've reached 70 we decided we needed a bigger boat with more outside space for cruising warmer climates and more comfort inside for friends and growing family .

So we leave Palma today and head west around Majorca then along the north coast and across to Menorca . Last autumn we only sailed the east of the island Majorca - several times and also across to Menorca and around that island and back again. We are heading for Sardinia and then Sicily. So watch this space.
