We left Palma at just before lunchtime today and headed out of the marina into the bay and motored west. Not that warm (yesterday was cold wet and windy -? glad we weren't scheduled to leave then!) but slowly the sun came out and we motored with a couple of hours of sailing. Not that many boats out and about apart from ferries and cruise liners . Sad to leave Palma but not the marina ( the boat had been on the pontoon since we left her there end of October well looked after by the Oyster team out here) we had checked her out a couple of times since New Year and done a few jobs but now was the time to move on.

Tonight we are at anchor in the bay of Sant Elm at the west end of Majorca . ( In our last visit out here 6 weeks ago we came here by car and climbed the mountain behind the village so lovely to be back here at sea ) opposite the island of Dragonera. Tomorrow we head into waters new up the west coast.

Wonderful to be at anchor again - peaceful ( drum beats coming from ashore) . The water looks lovely but only 14deg - could be the Percuil but clear blue as opposed to murky brown! Temperature not that different me thinks and ? A swim not so sure???
