Yesterday we carried on 'rockin and rollin' and overnight too. We wore jackets all day yesterday but overnight it has got warmer and today we are sitting in the cockpit in shirt sleeves and do we dare say it less rockin and rollin. Though every so often a wave sends the boat in all directions and us as well unless holding on. Likewise with anything lose in the galley. We learning!
At Dan's suggestion we are now listening to Slocum's ' Sailing alone round the world' We have decided this should be 11.00am activity 2 chapters a day so that will last us 9 days. Shame we don't have more audio stories - a big omission.
We still doing 6-7 knots plus with the poled out Genoa and now we seem to have a bit of current too. Alex is sending us weather reports and at present it looks like we might be heading for a period of lighter wind.
She and the children are now booked on a flight to the BVI to visit her cousin on 28th December so something for them to really look forward too after her disappointment of not doing the crossing and Merryn is now going to get to Frank's Island sooner rather than in April which she will still do at the end of our adventure.
As yet no wild life spotted but another starlit night and this morning the sun rose at 8.00am a huge orange globe.
