Now this really does feel remote! Quite a big atoll and with a fair size village but unlike the rest of FP it feels like its on the edge of the world. Day sailed here, about 130nM, but arrived after dark and didnt fancy the narrow pass with its strong currants at night so went around in circles till first light. Have now anchored about a mile from the village which is called Pouheva but struggled to find good holding and in the end a fisherman showed us where to anchor in sand / shingle - very friendly chap. There is supposed to be a good supermarket here and we hope it is well stocked as we are running low on normal provisions generally and completely out of anything fresh and dont really want to raid the freezer.
