Eerie passage through the centre of Amsterdam last night, or rather this morning (3am), along with more yachts and barges than you could count. Pulled into a smallish marina at Kokernoot on the northern side of main canal and got a ferry across to the centre at lunchtime for a mooze around. Not been here for a decade at least and seemed to me it has got a bit tatty but you have to admit there is nothing like it and the smaller canals did still look very pretty. Late this afternoon we did battle with the North sea locks and have moored at Ijmuiden not far from the locks with direct access to sea.
