We now have a modest west going current helping us along and we have SE winds but only about 12k - slowly improving and forecast is giving SE 15k for next 7 days. Swell still only about a metre and temp has been max of 23 deg so sailing has been very gentle and pleasant, not exactly open ocean sailing but we are not grumbling. We were virtually becalmed Sunday afternoon after crossing equator, fortunately only lasted about 6 hours and since then wind has been gradually getting stronger and going SE. Southern hemisphere fish arent biting so have been eating out of the freezer with pasta to the fore. Fantastic sunset last night and the phosphoresense has been particularly strong last couple of nights. Even read a book over last 2 days, The Spyglass File by Nathan Goodwin - can recommend especially to Dan and Rebecca, not saying why you will just have to read it to find out!
