Spent the weekend as tourists - took a train from Flam to Myrdal with great views of fjord, rivers, mountains and several villages, very steep incline - dont think South West trains would make it!- walked up to a viewing platform overlooking the fjord built into the rock face, phew quite a climb but worth it, a sign there said the fjord was 1200m deep, thought our depth sounder was on the blink.
Not a great day weather wise, drizzle on and off most of day, motored to another branch of the fjord with Gudvangen at its head and took a short walk ashore
