Caramor - sailing around the world

Things are getting tough on the good ship Caramor. We are out of fresh fruit and vegetables and scurvy beckons. Worse still we are nearly out of cheese! I tackled Kath about this and all she could say was: “Let him eat pâté.”

Normally the culinary standards on this yacht merit a 5 star rating on the Egon Ronay guide. Standards however have plummeted … 4 stars at most! I know she does her best but just look at what I have had to eat over the last few meals.

Breakfast: Home mixed muesli, UHT milk, Home made curd and UHT yoghurt … with no banana! Oh and British tea of course.

Lunch: Home baked fresh bread, chorizo and olives … and a multivitamin pill instead of fruit!

Dinner: Pasta with a pesto sauce made with onions and garlic butter fried tinned mushrooms. Salad made with our last carrot, tinned palmito hearts, tinned sweet corn and an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing. Downed with a glass of good Chilean red wine.

Dessert: Home made fruit pie (tinned blackberry and apple filling) and UHT cream. Italian ground coffee of course … there are limits.

I mean … how is a chap mean’t to keep his pecker up under these conditions?
