Having arrived at the Canary Islands I thought it would would be interesting to total up some of the figures. When teaching the subject of statistics, my maths teacher used to delight in quoting the politician who said that there were “Lies, damn lies, and statistics”. However for what they are worth I can assure you that these figures are reasonably accurate.

Set off on 22 May 2014 from Holyhead and arrived at Isla Graciosa in the Canary Islands on 29 September.
Distance recorded by GPS 2,515 Nautical Miles.
Days at sea or on which some sailing took place 48
Nights at sea 14
Nights at anchor 66
Nights in Marinas 50 (Our batting average was somewhat spoiled by Morrocco where you have to stay in marinas or ports).
