Arrived in the Falkland Islands just as the wind blew up to 40 knots. Great timing!
We've dropped anchor at the west end of Port Stanley. The pilot book says that the holding is excellent, which is just as well as although there are less waves at this end there is no real shelter from the wind.
I'll post a more detailed account of our crossing when we have slept for 20 hours or so.
