It has been a whirlwind of parties and dinners here and loads of fun despite the fact I am not sure the old body is able to keep up with burning the candle both ends and the liver is getting a tad bit of battering.

Last night we hosted the ‘Ocean Cruising Club’ drinks party on the pontoon next to our boat.  The OCC provided all the drinks and nibbles.  I think about six more people have signed up to join then and there, its a good club to belong to as each port officer has good knowledge of where to go to get help if things need repairing or buying.  After the party we had Sandra and John of Euphraxia and Chris and Helen Tibbs on board for Caribbean lobster served cold with mayo and salad, followed by Apple Crumble and Devon cream, crumble made by Sandra and cream bought over from the UK by Antonia.

Below are some photos of our crossing, including the rather grey beginning of the ARC in Las Palmas, the spinnaker sheet wrap with seaweed around the prop. Being greeted the morning after our arrival in the bay by the ARC hosting guys with very good rum punches.   A dorado caught by Charles, washing day half way across the Atlantic, Being towed in the following morning by a Rodney Bay Marina dingy and our dingy driven by Jervis.  The Pink spinnaker flying. Working on Jervis’s back after he fell and hurt it, one big tight muscle… another photo of the crew of Jandamarra, John, Doug, Jamie and Rob who popped on board for drinks.

We are planning to leave here on Sunday with an overnight stop in St. Pierre then on for a couple of days in Les Saintes and on to Antigua for Christmas.
