CURACAO 20/1/10
Up early and drove up to the Western end of the island and found a
delightful cove at Playa Knipbaai where we swam and snorkeled and chilled out in
the sun. Lunch at a diving centre a few coves down. Found an
excellent supermarket so stocked up on fresh goods for our three days to
Cartagena in Columbia. Dinner at the 'Boat House' a dingy ride away,
excellent Malaysian buffet.

Visited the Maritime Museum, well set up and a good history of the area and
why Curacoa was so important as part of the Dutch West Indian Company.
Bought fruit at the Venezualan floating market and back to the yacht to
make ready for sea.
Wind 26knots and a large sea but all going our way so not
uncomfortable.
Just been buzzed by the Venezualan Coast guard who called us up and asked
for all our details after they flew over us, good to know they are keeping an
eye on us.
