HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
SYDNEY 5TH JANUARY, 2011

We had a fantastic New Year's Eve in Sydney at Jenny and David's house.   The fireworks were amazing we had a view of the bridge and two barges of fireworks.  David is an old RHKYC friend from 1979.

We all provided food for the party, starting off with sea food, Balmain Bugs (Slipper lobster), fresh Oysters, large prawns, gravlax.  Then on to BBQ food of lamb and chicken with couscous and various salads and of course far too much champagne.  We danced in the garden until about 3 am.  Eight of us headed back to the yacht, via a dingy on a rope, to sleep.

The 'Offspring' were doing their own thing that night at a friend of Chaanah's flat with great views of the fireworks as well.  We picked them up from the Marina in Ruschcutters Bay on the 1st in the late morning for a sail and picnic lunch, 12 of us on board.

We are now in Pittwater a very beautiful area north of Sydney.  We are in the company of Byzance belonging to David and Jenny who have friend's on board and all came here for drinks last night along with their 'offspring'.  Today we picked up Maggie from Palm Beach and are just waiting to pick up David de Kantzow.  Before going for a walk this afternoon.  The weather is hot with the odd squall coming through between the sunshine.
