Can's believe that we will be in Aus' at the end of the month!

The party to celebrate Peter Bailey's 60th was huge fun at a very nice little French restaurant on the terrace looking over the water.  It carried on until late with dancing after dinner.
Before the party there was a very long firework display to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vanuatu's independence.

Tomorrow we have the riggers coming to look over our mast as yet another split pin was found on the deck and after investigation we found that a clevis pin was working it's way out, this was when we were on our way here in rough seas, so we could only use the genoa in the end but still made 7 - 9 knots under that.

We were hoping to rent a car today to explore the island but everything closes over the weekend so we are renting one tomorrow.   We have also booked a flight down to Tanna Island on Tuesday to visit the active Volcano on Tuesday and flying back here on Wednesday.  Hopefully I will get some very good photos.

Sadly although it is the 'dry season' it keeps pouring with rain so mud everywhere, at least it is warm, we are back on anti malarial pills as they have not eradicated the disease here.
